The name PS came from the original store owners first letter of their last names. Karen Peck and Linda Strobeck. After about a year Linda bought Karen's half of the store, however, she did keep the name―PS and Company. P.S. and Company first opened its doors in Vancouver, Washington over 20 years ago. It began as a home-party company that sold many hand-crafted home accessories and furniture from local crafters. These items were brought into customer's homes by one of the many consultants for a PS Home Party. These home parties were set-up very much like a Tupperware Party. Of course, our parties were more exciting! The company moved to Washougal, Washington, in 1989, where a retail store was opened. As the home-party portioned ended, the retail aspect began to grow into what the store is today. Offering beautiful home furnishings, accessories, and gifts. The store was relocated to Vancouver. The new store was much larger and carried a lot more furniture items. As customers began requesting personalized assistance, P.S. and Company began doing house visits, which is still a very successful part of the business. For more information on House Visits. Kim has always had great ideas for the store and has been a big part of the growth throughout the years. Now that she is the new store owner, there is nothing holding her back. Recently, Kim has moved the store to a new location, see Directions, and has made some very exciting changes. You will have to come in to see it for yourself!
